About Us

Accountancy & Business Advice in Yorkshire

Who We Are

We are an independent general accounting practice offering a bespoke, personal and friendly service to small and medium sized business owners.  We’re based in Guiseley, Leeds, which is perfectly placed to service West Yorkshire, North Yorkshire and beyond.

Encouraged by innovative cloud bookkeeping technology, Clare Siddall set up the practice with her own model meaning that the “one stop drop off shop” (the one formal visit to the accountant each year) was over and that a line of communication with clients for help and advice would be open all year round.  Every business and every business owner is unique and we strive to create a long term honest working relationship with our clients.

Our preferred accounting software is Xero and we provide free training to businesses who are new to the platform.

We also offer a hot desk service for clients who want to get their bookkeeping/business records up to date or need any help with this or other areas of their business.

Clare Siddall

FMAAT ATT(Fellow)

I set up Cube in 2019, having spent 10 years as an accountant in the construction industry and the previous 15 years in practice.

With many years’ experience in accounting and general practice, I am dedicated to providing an honest and transparent service to my clients.

Setting up this business has been challenging and demanding, especially as Covid hit just 6 months in! I’ve had to dig deep but the hard work is paying off with a sterling client list and the addition of two very dedicated team members.

Spare time involves boxercise, running, cycling and swimming.

Bernadette Young

BSc (Hons) Open (Open) MICB PM.Dip MCMI

I joined Cube in 2021 to pursue a career in Practice after leaving my role of Finance Manager for a construction company. The 20 years I had in the construction industry gained me valuable experience in various areas including finance, HR, admin and quality management.

I gained my degree in Finance, Management, Science and Social Care with the Open University in 2019 whilst working full time. Upon completion I was able to pursue a more active role in finance and it also provided a good grounding for studying for the AAT qualification, which I aim to complete in 2023.

My interests are wide reaching but mostly I spend my time with my family and friends and enjoy watching sport, regular exercise and pilates.

Ursula Clarke

AAT MICB

I have previously worked in travel, construction, legal and manufacturing before entering the accountancy industry and I gained my AAT qualification in 1996.

I worked in practice until 2007 and then became self employed offering a full range of bookkeeping and payroll services and am a member of the Institute for Certified Bookkeepers.

In April 2020 I re-connected with Clare Siddall and started working here at Cube. The landscape for bookkeeping and accounting has changed so much I welcomed the introduction to cloud accounting and working alongside others as a team and have recently achieved my Xero accreditation.

I’m a keen runner and a member of a local running club. I also swim and weight train and work hard to look after my general wellbeing. I believe if you look after yourself physically, it makes you stronger mentally.
